When I arrived I was greeted by the owner. She was very friendly as you will find in a small town. An hour after getting my room she notified me that I had a flat tire which was huge to me as I had an important meeting in the morning. As I struggled to change my tire her husband came with tools to help!!! You can find service like this. My hope in humanity has been restored!!! Thank you Kelly Ann and Marcel

The Town is lovely and tucked just off one of the main streets is a hidden gem of a motel . Owners are very friendly the rooms are clean comfortable and spacious. My wife and I are on a cross country road trip and this will be a stand out. It is the least expensive place we have stayed but in all the ways that are meaningful the best place.

The owners are very attentive to your needs. The rooms were very clean and Marcel was great at giving us advice on some roads in the area. I recommend anyone who is a motorcyclist to use this motel.

I'm not sure where to begin. I heard about this hidden gem from a lifelong friend in the area. I arrived on my bike, a note said call for service. We arranged to meet up in a few minutes. I said I'd be heading to the car wash, and I would be back. Marcel, shows up at the car wash and greets me...literally came to welcome me and say hi. He was a very genuine guy. I finished my wash, headed to meet him at the motel. He got me checked in, and after a 400 mile ride in +30 weather...he handed me an ice cold beverage and my keys. The room was clean, accommodating and quite cozy. Marcel and I did some talking , he's also a Motorcycle enthusiast, and I talked of my plans for the weekend, and he had some excellent suggestions for some great riding and scenery. I spent 4 days there. Marcel and Kelly greeted me every day, made sure my room was tidy and restocked every day. Treated me like a good friend. Marcel escorted me to the lawn mower races. Even took the time to come back with chairs for us. It was 4 great days with people who felt like family. Their commitment to guests was astounding, I witnessed a few check ins. Assuring every guest had the same above and beyond attention, clean room, local recommendations...even helped one couple with a temporary rear window repair from a gravel road mishap mid trip. I couldn't recommend this place more...that was just up to Saturday... Sunday came, I'm beer soaked from the Boom town festivities the night before...catching up with come childhood friends...had an absolute blast. Kelly was more than accommodating helping me with some with some laundry services, and Marcel and Carl welcomed me to join for a ride out to Fort Walsh...not only were they great company and made sure we made the most of it, they were great riding partners, and shared a wealth of information of the areas we went through. While there Marcel mentioned the plant life in the area was unique and I should pick a flower to take back for a special lady. I didn't have a special lady, but I promptly plucked one and placed it in the side pocket of my riding vest. We started the ride back to Shaunavon. We got back to the motel after sunset, and at a prior fuel stop we decided to forgo a meal stop and instead Marcel offered to make us burgers back at the motel. He called ahead to Kelly, ensuring we would have the fixings for our planned meal. We arrived a near dark...Kelly welcomed us, informed me my laundry was hanging in my room, and she stocked me with bottles of water. I was so grateful I gave her the flower I picked. She smiled, you could see Marcel appreciated my gesture, and she Commented it was a little flat. And I said it did do 100 miles in a vest pocket. Meal was started and we sat and shared some great conversation, and Marcel and I sat outside and talked and shared stories. Kelly and Marcel were also animal lovers, and we shared some pictures of our beloved pets. We talked for quite awhile before we admitted it was time to call it in, he had guests to attend to in the am, and I had a very long ride planned. My evening ended with making sure I gathered all my things and was ready to load up for the Ride out. I woke up, got started and Marcel was already getting to work...having set some aside for the ride the previous day. I got loaded up, and we talked and I discussed my plans to take his recommended scenic route home....and we said good byes. We exchanged some information so we could exchange some of the pictures we took on our ride, and stay in touch. Started as a guest, left with a friendship, even planned a following summer ride. I promised to updated them as I had 600miles I planned to ride on my extended scenic route home. I checked in with them along the way. Kelly sent me a picture of the flower I gave her the evening before and expressed how well it was doing with a little love and water. I replied with a picture of Marcel and I sitting in the chairs overlooking Fort Walsh. I can't thank them enough for the best travelling experience one could have.

This motel is tucked away and hidden making it nicely private and quiet. The rooms were excellent, clean, well maintained and Marcel is extremely welcoming, friendly and always ready to chat about anything plus can give alot of advice on where to go and how to get there (in a good way) in the area. I was going to stay one night and check out the area on a vacation but i ended up staying for 3 and using that as my base motel as it became more like home thanks to the wonderful couple Marcel and Kelly Ann owning and running it. Marcel would always be taking care of something and cleaning and always around with a smile and a wave. It's folks like these that make it more than just a hotel. I recommend this to anyone, anytime.

Staying here is like visiting friends you haven’t seen in decades. We stopped here while on our motorcycle trip from BC to Ontario. The room was homey and comfortable. Marcel, who checked us in, was attentive and made sure our needs were met. Kelly Ann greeted us the very next morning to ensure we were happy and satisfied. Marcel is a wonderful ambassador for the region! As a fellow motorcycle rider he recommended local destinations, events to attend and scenic routes. Consider taking the road less travelled through this beautiful area and stay here while you do. Better yet stay here and use it as base camp for a few days to discover this special part of Canada.
